About This Opportunity

AFS Intercultural Programs India provides diverse cultural exchange opportunities, including high school programs, short-term cultural learning adventures, and language immersion initiatives. These programs are designed to help young individuals develop essential global competencies, enhance intercultural communication skills, and gain a deeper appreciation for various cultures. Participants typically live with host families and attend local schools, fully immersing themselves in a new cultural environment.

Eligibility for the AFS High School Program generally requires students to be between 15 and 17.5 years old at the program's start. Applicants should demonstrate strong personal qualities, be results-oriented, possess social empathy, and have an awareness of both Indian culture and global issues. The experience also enhances adaptability in new situations, fostering significant personal growth and self-awareness.
