About This Opportunity

The AIMO Open Contest is an international mathematics competition organized by the AI Mathematical Olympiad Prize, bringing together students from over 21 countries worldwide. The contest challenges participants with open-ended mathematical problems that require deep analytical thinking and creative problem-solving approaches.

The competition follows a two-stage format. The Trial Round is conducted online, allowing students from Grades 1 to 12 to participate from their home countries. Top performers from the Trial Round qualify for the Finals, which are held in-person at an international venue.

The contest features problems designed to go beyond standard curriculum mathematics, testing students on their ability to construct mathematical arguments and find innovative solutions. This format distinguishes the AIMO Open from typical multiple-choice competitions.

Successful participants receive medals, trophies, and certificates, with the international platform providing valuable exposure to competitive mathematics at a global level.
