Azim Premji Scholarship for Girls

The Azim Premji Scholarship is a significant initiative by the Azim Premji Foundation, designed to empower underprivileged girl students across India by providing crucial financial assistance for higher education. This scholarship specifically supports those pursuing undergraduate degree or diploma courses, aiming to remove financial barriers that often prevent talented young women from accessing college and university education. To be eligible, applicants must be Indian permanent residents who have successfully completed both Class 10 and Class 12 as regular students from a government school. They must also have secured admission into the first year of a recognized undergraduate degree or diploma program at a government or credible private institution anywhere in India. The scholarship is primarily for female students from specific states and regions, ensuring targeted support where it is most needed.

Recipients receive an annual scholarship of ₹30,000, disbursed in two installments, for the entire duration of their undergraduate or diploma program, which can range from two to five years. This financial aid helps cover tuition fees, additional educational expenses, and even daily living costs, enabling girls from disadvantaged families to continue their education and realize their full potential. The program aims to benefit up to 2.5 lakh girls, with plans for future expansion across the country.
