About This Opportunity
BITS Aarohan is a prestigious national-level Olympiad organized by the students of BITS Pilani. The competition is designed to inspire scientific curiosity and critical thinking among young minds by moving beyond rote learning and challenging students with a unique, theme-based paper that focuses on real-world scientific application.
The competition is open to students in grades 9 through 12 from any recognized school board in India. Winners of the first round are invited to the BITS Pilani campus for the final round during the APOGEE technical fest, offering a unique opportunity to interact with peers, professors, and witness a vibrant environment of innovation.

Academic requirement
Open to students from classes 9 to 12 studying in a school affiliated with any recognized board. Students in grades 11 and 12 must be from the Science stream with Mathematics.
Prerequisites
- Basic understanding of school-level science (Physics, Chemistry) and Mathematics.
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
Open to students in grades 9-12 from any school board across India. For grades 11 and 12, the Science stream with Mathematics is required. The exam is based on the application of school curriculum concepts, so no special prerequisites are needed.

Rounds & format
Round 1 is an online, multiple-choice question (MCQ) based exam with a unifying scientific theme. Round 2 is conducted offline at the BITS Pilani campus during the APOGEE fest and includes a variety of exclusive events like murder mysteries, escape rooms, and parliamentary mafia to test practical skills.
How entries are judged
Performance in the MCQ-based test for Round 1. For Round 2, scores from various skill-testing events are aggregated to determine the final winners.
Selection process
Students are shortlisted for Round 2 based on their performance and ranking in the Round 1 online examination. National winners are selected based on cumulative scores from Round 2 events.
