Scoring is based on valid techniques to the trunk protector and head, with points awarded for punches, kicks, and turning kicks. Penalties (Gam Jeoms) are deducted for prohibited acts such as crossing the boundary line, falling, grabbing, pushing, or attacking after a halt.
