About This Opportunity

The Chegg.org Global Student Prize is a prestigious US$100,000 annual global award, presented in partnership with the Varkey Foundation, to recognize an exceptional student who is making a meaningful impact on society through innovation, leadership, and social action. The prize celebrates young changemakers who are actively solving real-world problems and provides them with a powerful global platform to amplify their work.

In 2025, the award was won by Adarsh Kumar, an 18-year-old innovator from Bihar, India, marking a proud moment for the country. He was selected from nearly 11,000 nominations across 148 countries, highlighting the truly global and competitive nature of this award. This achievement showcases the potential of Indian students to lead change on the world stage.

The competition is open to students aged 16 and above who are enrolled in any academic institution or training program, including full-time, part-time, and online courses. While the US$100,000 prize amount remains unchanged, applications for the 2026 Global Student Prize will open next year.

Beyond the main award, the top 50 finalists gain access to the Chegg Changemaker Community, a global network of young leaders, mentors, and innovators. The prize not only rewards excellence but also empowers students to scale their impact and inspire future generations.
