About This Opportunity
The CREST English Olympiad (CEO) is an international online competition designed to assess students' English proficiency, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. It is open to students in grades 1 to 10 and provides a platform to enhance English knowledge and analytical abilities.
The CEO syllabus is structured based on international standards, covering grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and spoken & written expressions. The exam includes an English Language section, focusing on core grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and sentence formation, and an Achievers Section, featuring higher-order thinking and analytical language questions. Separate question papers are available for each class.
Participation in the CEO helps build a strong foundation for competitive exams like the SAT, TOEFL, and IELTS. It also enhances the understanding of concepts and their applications. The exam follows the syllabus of CBSE, ICSE/ISC, and other State Boards.
Students can take the online exams on web-enabled devices such as laptops, tablets, or desktops with webcams. The exam is conducted in English.

Rounds & format
The exam is an objective-type test that students need to complete in 60 minutes. For students of Classes KG and 1, the exam will be parent/teacher assisted. The time of the exam will be 45 minutes for KG students
How entries are judged
Each section has a different marking scheme. In the English language section, for every correct answer, 1 mark is given and in the Achievers Section, on every correct answer, 2 marks are given. Negative marking is not there
