About This Opportunity

The Fit India Quiz is a national-level competition organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, through the Fit India Mission. All students enrolled in any class up to Class XII in schools across India are eligible to participate. Schools must nominate a minimum of two candidates, and there is no upper limit on the number of students a school can register.

Winners also receive national recognition and certificates. The Fit India Quiz is conducted in multiple phases: 1. Registration and School Round: Schools register and conduct internal selection to nominate students. 2. Preliminary Round (NTA Round): An online multiple-choice test conducted by the National Testing Agency. This round is typically 30 minutes long with 60 questions. 3. State Round: Qualified schools compete at the state/UT level, often involving multi-format quizzes including buzzer rounds and audio/video identification. 4. National Round: Winning teams from each state/UT compete in the final round, which is telecast on national television.

How entries are judged

Preliminary Round: Based on marks obtained in the online test. In case of a tie, the younger student (age-wise) is ranked higher. State and National Rounds: Evaluation is based on correct answers and speed, with multi-format rounds including buzzer and audio/video identification.

Selection process

Students are selected based on their performance in the preliminary online examination. Schools with top-scoring students qualify for the state rounds. For state rounds, schools nominate a second student to form a team.
