Academic requirement
Students of schools following any recognized Board of Education can participate in INDAC. This includes IB, IGCSE, CBSE, ICSE/ISC and State Boards.

The competition has three main stages. Stage 1 is the Online Regional Qualifying Exam (ORQE), a multiple-choice exam. Stage 2 is the in-person Regional Tournament (RT), which includes Quiz Bee Prelim and Final Rounds. Stage 3 involves the national level.
How entries are judged
For the Online Regional Qualifying Exam (ORQE), participants must score 50% or more to qualify for the Regional Tournament. The Regional Tournament features buzzer-based quiz rounds where participants earn points for correct answers. Scoring may include negative points for incorrect answers in certain formats. Top performers in each age division are recognized and advance to subsequent stages.
Selection process
Students scoring 50% or more in the Online Regional Qualifying Exam (ORQE) are eligible for the Regional Tournament. The top 50% of students at the Regional Tournament qualify for the Asian Championships.

Fees & financial support
Fee details
Participation in the Online Regional Qualifying Exam (ORQE) is free. Fees for the in-person Regional Tournament (RT) vary based on the number of individual events a student chooses to participate in. Specific fee details will be provided upon registration for the Regional Tournament. Approximately INR 1750.
Refund policy
If a student is unable to attend after paying the fee, a 25% deduction for academic materials and service fees applies if applying before the registration deadline. No refund is given if applying after the deadline.
