Rounds & format
The competition consists of three preliminary rounds for all participants. Each round features 30 tossup questions. The top-scoring students from the preliminary rounds advance to a single final round to determine the champion in each division.
How entries are judged
Scoring is based on points. A correct answer earns 10 points. There is no penalty for an incorrect answer after the question is fully read. An incorrect answer that interrupts the question results in a penalty. The final ranking is determined by the cumulative scores.
Selection process
The International Academic Bee at the Asian Championships is an open event and does not require prior qualification. All registered students are eligible to compete. Selection is based on the points earned in the final round.

Fees & financial support
Fee details

Refund policy
Cancellations before the registration deadline are eligible for a refund, minus a processing fee. A partial fee is charged for cancellations closer to the event date, and no refunds are provided for cancellations on or after a specified date.
