Academic requirement
Students must be enrolled in an elementary or secondary school. All students on a team must be from the same school.
Prerequisites
- No prior qualification is required to participate in the Asian Championship.
- Teams who have finished in the top 50% of an Academic Bowl regional tournament can also participate.
Age/Grade: Elementary (Grades 1-6), Middle School (7-8), Junior Varsity (9-10), and Varsity (11-12). Requirements: All team members must be from the same school. Location: Open to students across Asia. No prior qualification is needed for the Asian Championship.

Rounds & format
The competition typically consists of 4 preliminary rounds, where all teams play. There will be buzzer-based tossup and bonus questions. The top teams from the preliminary rounds advance to the playoff or final rounds to determine the champion in each division.
How entries are judged
Teams are ranked based on their win-loss record in the preliminary rounds. In the playoff rounds, it is a single-elimination format. Points are scored by correctly answering tossup questions and the subsequent bonus questions.
Selection process
The top teams based on performance in the preliminary rounds qualify for the playoff stage. The winner's selection is based on performance and points gained in the final round.

Refund policy
Cancellations made before the registration deadline are eligible for a refund, minus a processing fee. Cancellations after this date may result in partial or no refund.
