About This Opportunity

The International Aerospace Olympiad (IAO) 2025, organized by Spacetrix Aerospace, is a premier global competition for students passionate about space and aviation. It is India's first combined Olympiad covering Aerospace, Aeronautics, and Astronautics, designed to cultivate interest in STEM subjects and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.

This online competition is open to students from grades 1 to 12, regardless of their school board or country. Participants are grouped into five categories to ensure a fair, age-appropriate challenge, providing a unique platform to test their knowledge and explore concepts beyond the standard curriculum.

Rounds & format

The competition consists of two phases. Phase 1 is an online test with multiple-choice and true/false questions. Students scoring 50% or higher qualify for Phase 2, which is a supervised exam with problem-solving questions on real-world aerospace topics.

How entries are judged

Evaluation is based on the scores obtained in the online examination. Phase 1 is a qualifier, and final rankings are determined by performance in the Phase 2 advanced skill assessment.

Selection process

Top performers in each category are awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals. Students scoring above 90% may receive scholarships, while those scoring 60% or higher earn an Aero Scholar Certificate. National toppers are given opportunities for exclusive real-world experiences, such as visits to ISRO and HAL museums and flight simulator sessions.
