About This Opportunity

The International History Bowl Asian Championship is a prestigious academic competition that brings together students from across Asia to test their historical knowledge. It is a team-based quiz contest that uses a buzzer system, making it a fast-paced and exciting event. The questions cover a wide range of topics in world history, encouraging students to develop a deep and comprehensive understanding of the past.

Participation is open to school teams in three distinct age divisions: Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Middle School. This structure ensures that students compete against their peers at an appropriate level of difficulty. To be eligible for the Asian Championships, teams must first qualify through regional tournaments held throughout the academic year across various Asian countries.

Competing in the History Bowl offers significant benefits, including the opportunity to win medals and plaques, gaining recognition at an international level. The competition sharpens critical thinking, quick recall, and teamwork skills. It is an excellent platform for students passionate about history to showcase their talent and connect with like-minded peers from different cultural backgrounds.

The event is part of the larger IAC Asian Championships, which also includes the International History Bee (for individuals) and other academic competitions.
