About This Opportunity
The International Mathematics Olympiad Competition of Southeast Asia (IMOCSEA) is a global mathematics competition for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Organized by GLOBAL LEAGUE OF WINNERS, INC. (GLOW), a non-profit organization based in the Philippines, IMOCSEA aims to foster excellence and proficiency in mathematics through a competitive international environment. It covers key mathematical areas such as Arithmetic, Number Theory, Algebra, Geometry, Logical Analysis, and Combinatorics.
Students from Kindergarten and all primary levels (Grades 1 to 6), as well as all secondary levels (Grades 7 to 12), are eligible to participate. There are no specific prerequisites mentioned for joining this Olympiad, making it accessible to a wide range of students interested in mathematics. The competition is open to participants from various countries, including India, ensuring nationwide participation.
Participants gain significant exposure to international competition, which helps in developing advanced problem-solving skills and critical thinking. Successful participants can earn medals and certificates, with top scorers receiving trophies. The Olympiad provides a platform for students to showcase their talent, improve their reasoning ability, and gain additional knowledge beyond their regular curriculum.
The competition typically consists of two rounds: a National Round administered locally in each participating country, followed by an International Round for qualifiers.
