About This Opportunity
The Indian Robotics Olympiad (IRO) ROBO Adventures - Explorers is a prestigious national competition designed for young minds aged 5-7. This category focuses on lake conservation through robotics, where participants will engage in story-driven challenges. Guided by Kubo the LakeBot, children will address environmental tasks such as tree planting, island drops, playzone ferries, and lake cleanup, sparking natural curiosity and introducing fundamental STEM concepts in an engaging way.
This competition is open to students aged 5 to 7 years across India. Participants can compete individually or in teams of two, and each student or team must be guided by a coach who is at least 18 years old. The construction and coding of the robot must be done solely by the team members, fostering a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and independent problem-solving.
Participants will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and basic programming skills while gaining hands-on experience with robotics. The competition provides a unique platform for designing and building robots to address real-world environmental challenges.
