The LiveMCL Mental Math World Cup is a premier international online competition that identifies and celebrates the world’s fastest young mental calculators. This global event is open to students aged 6 to 18 years, covering Grades 1 through 12, with participants competing in age-appropriate categories. The competition is conducted entirely online through a dedicated app, allowing students from India and around the world to participate from home and test their abilities against a global talent pool.
The competition features four major categories designed to suit different age groups and skill levels. The Challenger category (ages 6 to 8 years) is meant for young learners taking their first steps in mental math, focusing on developing basic arithmetic speed and confidence through enjoyable challenges. The Master category (ages 9 to 11 years) targets students with growing mathematical fluency, encouraging quick mental strategies and accuracy in more complex operations.
The Grandmaster category (ages 12 and above) is for advanced participants who demonstrate exceptional computation skills and problem-solving agility under timed conditions. How entries are judged
Ranking is primarily based on the score achieved. In case of a tie, the participant who completed the test in less time is ranked higher. A tie-breaker round may be conducted at the organizers' discretion.
