About This Opportunity
The Lumiere Research Scholars Program is a 12-week online mentorship programme that pairs high school students with PhD-level researchers for personalized, one-on-one research mentorship.
Students work with their assigned mentor to develop an original research project in a subject of their choice, covering the full research cycle from question formulation and literature review through data collection, analysis, and scholarly paper writing.
Research areas span sciences, technology, social sciences, humanities, and interdisciplinary fields. Students who complete the programme have the opportunity to earn 3 transferable academic credits through UC San Diego Extended Studies.
Lumiere actively supports students in pursuing research publication in high school research journals and in strengthening their college applications through demonstrated research capability. Financial aid is available, with Lumiere having disbursed over USD 1,800,000 to eligible students globally.
