About This Opportunity

The Malabar Scholarship, initiated by the Malabar Charitable Trust in 2007, aims to empower academically talented female students from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds. This program seeks to alleviate the financial burden on girl students and their families by providing support for education-related expenses such as tuition fees, books, and study materials.

This scholarship is exclusively for female students pursuing higher education at the Higher Secondary (Class 11-12) or Undergraduate (Degree) level in government or government-aided institutions in selected Indian states. Applicants must have successfully completed their 10th grade with a minimum of 50% marks. Preference is given to students with higher academic achievements and lower family incomes, particularly those from SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories.

Recipients receive one-time financial assistance of up to ₹10,000, which helps them continue their education without financial constraints. The scholarship also aims to foster confidence, self-reliance, and determination among young women, enabling them to make informed decisions about their futures and contribute to societal upliftment.

The Malabar Charitable Trust is committed to promoting equal access to quality education and bridging the gender gap in education. The scholarship supports meritorious girls who face financial hardships, ensuring they have the necessary resources to pursue their academic goals.
