About This Opportunity
Math.Biz is an intensive 11-day residential program held at the state-of-the-art Mahindra University campus in Hyderabad, Telangana. This unique program is a collaborative effort between the Raising a Mathematician Foundation (RAM Foundation), Pravaha Foundation, and Mahindra University.
It is meticulously designed to bridge the gap between theoretical mathematical concepts and their practical, real-world applications in fields such as finance, economics, accounting, and operations management. The curriculum goes beyond rote learning, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and encouraging students to take intellectual risks and explore new ideas. Unlike traditional educational systems that often prioritize grades, Math.Biz emphasizes experiential learning and the direct relevance of mathematical concepts across various industries.
Participants will delve into complex economic theories and financial strategies through a mathematical lens, gaining a deeper understanding of both disciplines. The program is specifically tailored for high school students (Grades 9-12) with a strong existing interest in mathematics and finance.
It features a competitive selection process for up to 100 talented students from across India, ensuring a high-caliber peer group. While the residential camp, including boarding and lodging at Mahindra University, is free of cost due to the generous support of the Pravaha Foundation and Mahindra University, a nominal application fee is required to participate in the selection process.
