About This Opportunity

The MTO International STEM Olympiad in the Technology and Engineering category is a global competition organized by Main Team Organisation GmbH (MTO). Rounds & format

The Olympiad consists of three main stages for the Technology & Engineering category: the Qualification Round, the Final Round, and the onsite grand finale. The Qualification Round has two optional dates, and students achieving minimum scores advance to the Final Round. The Best of the Best Global Round is not available for this category. The last round is an on-site grand finale round. The top 3 participants of the final round will get 75%, 50%, and 25% discount awards to attend the grand finale.

How entries are judged

Participants are judged based on their scores in the online exam. The exam consists of 25 multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer is awarded 4 points, with no negative marking for incorrect answers. The maximum score is 100 points. Top performers in each age group and category are recognized.

Selection process

Students who achieve the minimum required scores in the Qualification Round advance to the Final Round. Top performers in the Final Round are awarded medals and certificates and advanced to the grand finale round.

The registration fee for the Qualification Round is €20 per participant per category/exam. Participation in the Final Round is free for qualified students. Payments are non-refundable.

Payments are final and non-refundable once completed. No refunds or make-up exams are offered for missed sessions.
