The National Space Innovation Challenge (NSIC) is a premier national initiative by the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Navars Edutech. Rounds & format
Students first join an online bootcamp through the LMS, where they learn from space scientists through mentor-led videos. Next, they select a topic from the Junior (Grades 5–8) or Senior (Grades 9–12) track and prepare a research report in PPT, video, or document format. This report is then submitted online and evaluated by an expert jury panel. Top-performing students receive recognition, certificates, and exciting rewards such as SpaceSat kits.
How entries are judged
Submissions are evaluated based on ideation, innovation, the potential impact of the solution, and the feasibility of implementation.
Selection process
The competition consists of two phases. In the first phase, students submit their innovative ideas and solutions. The best projects are then shortlisted for the second phase, where finalists present their solutions to a jury for the selection of winners.
