How entries are judged
Submissions are judged on how well they address the annual theme, demonstration of artistic voice, originality, imagination, craftsmanship (quality, technique, skill), attention to detail, accuracy in communicating issues, and meeting category requirements. A written reflection accompanying the submission is also considered.
Selection process
Submissions are anonymously evaluated by at least three judges over a series of three rounds. Winners are selected based on how well their work addresses the annual theme, artistic merit, and the effectiveness of their environmental message.
