About This Opportunity
The Research Science Initiative India (RSI India) is an intensive six-week summer program for high-ability STEM students, modeled after the renowned RSI program at MIT. Hosted at the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru, this initiative provides a unique, fully-funded platform for young scholars to engage in hands-on scientific research under the mentorship of leading scientists.
Open to Indian citizens in Class XI, the highly competitive selection process evaluates academic performance, STEM potential, essays, and recommendations. The 32 selected students undertake a week of advanced coursework followed by five weeks of immersive research, culminating in a symposium where they present their findings. The program develops critical research skills and fosters a lifelong network of peers and mentors.
