About This Opportunity
Samsung Solve for Tomorrow India is a flagship Corporate Social Responsibility initiative by Samsung, designed to empower young Indian innovators aged 14 to 22. The Environmental Sustainability theme invites participants to design technology-driven solutions that address climate change, pollution, waste management, biodiversity loss, renewable energy access, and other ecological challenges facing India.
The programme is a strategic partnership between Samsung India, the United Nations in India, IIT Delhi, the Foundation for Innovation & Technology Transfer (FITT), and the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. Participants apply individually or in teams of up to three members with an original concept that uses science and technology to deliver a measurable environmental impact.
Participants gain access to prototyping labs at IIT Delhi, mentorship from Samsung leaders and IIT Delhi faculty, and the opportunity to compete for grants totalling ₹2 crore across the four themes.

Academic requirement
Open to Indian residents aged 14-22 years. Participants should have enthusiasm for solving everyday problems through innovation.
Prerequisites
- Original idea for a tech-based solution to an environmental challenge.
- Basic understanding of STEM concepts and design thinking (training will be provided).
Additional requirements
- Must be an Indian national.
- Parental consent is mandatory for participants under 18 years of age.
- Employees or agents of Samsung, its implementation agencies, group companies, or their immediate families are not eligible.
- Each individual or team is allowed to apply for only one theme; multiple-theme applications may result in disqualification.
- Individuals or teams of up to three people can apply.
The Samsung Solve for Tomorrow India Environmental Sustainability theme is open to Indian nationals aged 14 to 22 years. Participants apply individually or in teams of up to three members. Ideas must be original and not have previously received significant funding for the same proposal. Parental consent is required for all participants under 18.

How entries are judged
Ideas are evaluated on innovation and creativity, impact and feasibility, scalability, and technical execution capability.
Selection process
Initial screening by FITT - IIT Delhi experts based on relevance to a social problem, technical feasibility, market potential, and team competence. Subsequent rounds involve evaluation of video pitches, prototype development, and final pitches to a jury.
