About This Opportunity
Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is a national innovation competition empowering Indian youth aged 14-22 to develop technology-driven solutions for real-world challenges. Participants can submit ideas across themes like Health, Education, AI Living, Environmental Sustainability, and Sport & Tech, fostering a culture of innovation and problem-solving.
The program offers extensive training in design thinking, business planning, and prototyping, along with mentorship from industry experts and IIT Delhi faculty. Winning teams receive significant grants, Samsung devices, and incubation support at IIT Delhi to scale their innovative solutions.

Academic requirement
Open to Indian residents aged 14-22 years as of the last day of the competition. Participants should have an enthusiasm for solving everyday problems through innovation.
Prerequisites
- Original concept in science and technology or a new product with social consequence.
- Previous funding for the identical proposal not exceeding INR 5 lakhs.
Open to Indian nationals aged 14-22 years, including school students (grades 9-12) and college students. Key requirements: Individual or team participation (up to 3 members). Parental consent mandatory for participants under 18. Ideas must be original and not have received prior funding exceeding ₹5 lakhs for the same proposal.

Rounds & format
Phase 1: Application & Idea Submission. Experts from FITT - IIT Delhi review applications, and 100 teams (25 from each theme) are selected for the next stage. Phase 2: Top 100 teams receive online training from FITT - IIT Delhi experts and submit video pitches. A panel evaluates these pitches, and 40 shortlisted teams (10 from each theme) qualify. Phase 3: Innovation Bootcamp & National Pitch Event for Top 40 teams. Teams visit Samsung offices, receive hands-on training and lab access at IIT Delhi, and pitch to a jury. 20 teams (5 from each theme) are selected for the Grand Finale. Phase 4: Grand Finale for Top 20 teams. Finalists receive 1-on-1 mentoring, access to prototyping labs at IIT Delhi, and pitch their ideas and prototypes to a grand jury in Delhi NCR. Four winning teams (one from each theme) are announced.
How entries are judged
Ideas are evaluated based on their relevance to a social problem, technical feasibility, market potential, and team competence. Criteria include innovation and creativity, potential for impact and feasibility, scalability, and clarity in technical execution and development.
Selection process
Selection is based on the significance of the problem statement, novelty and viability of the proposed solution, qualifications of the team or individual, and the plan for commercialization. Each stage involves rigorous evaluation by expert panels.

- 1Online application and idea submission, followed by video pitches for shortlisted teams. Successful participants receive email notifications and announcements on the official website and social media.
