Participating schools register directly with SDS and receive a competition brochure and entry kit. Students colour assigned themes on the competition sheets provided, and the school submits all completed entries to SDS headquarters in Sambhajinagar for central judging. Results are declared on the SDS website and typically announced in January of the following year.
Top performers receive the Kala Ratna Award for excellent colouring, along with a certificate of merit and medal. The Kala Gaurav Award recognises strong performance.
