Both programs combine daily lectures by Stanford faculty, collaborative problem-solving sessions, and a culminating research project. Students live on Stanford's campus and have access to university facilities and faculty. The program runs for approximately six weeks in June and July. SUMaC is internationally recognized as one of the premier pre-college mathematics programs in the world, regularly drawing students who have competed at the national and international mathematics olympiad level.
