How entries are judged
Projects are judged on relevance, creativity, methodology, subject knowledge, practical skills, and the quality of the report and presentation. The assessment considers the project's scientific, environmental, and societal impacts.
Selection process
A panel of subject matter experts reviews all applications. The top 25 teams are shortlisted for the final round. From these, the top 10 are recognized as National Water Champions, and one overall winner is selected to represent India.

- 2The project report must not exceed 20 pages, including all figures, tables, and citations.
- 3Shortlisted teams will be invited to present their projects at IIT Madras.
