About This Opportunity
Technovation Girls is a global technology entrepreneurship program that empowers young women to address real-world problems by designing and building a mobile application. Participants work in teams, following a 12-week project-based curriculum that covers everything from coding and AI to creating a business plan and pitching their final product to solve a pressing issue in their community.
The program is designed to be inclusive, requiring no prior coding experience and is completely free for all participants. It not only helps girls develop technical abilities in app development and artificial intelligence but also fosters crucial life skills such as leadership, collaboration, entrepreneurship, and public speaking, preparing them to become future innovators and leaders.

Academic requirement
No specific academic requirements. Open to all students within the age group.
Prerequisites
- No prior coding experience required
Open to participants aged 8-18: Beginner (8-12), Junior (13-15), Senior (16-18) who identify as female, trans, nonbinary, or gender nonconforming. Teams can consist of 1 to 5 members. The competition is global and open to all students in India. No prior coding experience is required.

Award
$750
Finalist team members each receive a $500 educational stipend. Regional honorees receive $250 per student. Additional special awards, like the Google Gemini award for $250, are also available. Each member of a Grand Prize-winning team will receive a $750/person educational stipend.

Rounds & format
The competition involves a submission round, that is, a quarterfinal, where teams present their app, pitch video, and business plan. Submissions are judged and top teams move to the semifinal round. This is also an online round. The last one is finals. Finalist teams are invited to the World Summit to pitch their ideas to a panel of expert judges.
How entries are judged
Projects are evaluated based on several criteria, including Ideation (20 points), Technical implementation (20 points), Entrepreneurship (20 points for Senior Division), Pitch (10 points), and Overall Impression (10 points).
Selection process
Teams are selected to advance based on the scores from judges. Finalists are chosen from the top-scoring teams globally to compete at the World Summit.
