This quiz is open to all students enrolled in classes 9 to 12 from any school across India, regardless of their board, affiliation, or region. Teams must consist of two members from the same school, though inter-class teams are permitted. Registration must be completed by school staff, as students are not allowed to self-register.

Semi-finalists and finalists will receive a fully sponsored trip to the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala, offering them a unique opportunity to visit naval ships, establishments, and training facilities. Rounds & format
The competition comprises multiple stages: three online Elimination Rounds (ER1, ER2, ER3), an online Zonal Selection Round, and offline Semi-Finals and Grand Finale. ER1, ER2, and ER3 are online, with top percentages advancing. The Zonal Selection Round is also online via Zoom. The Semi-Finals and Grand Finale are held offline at the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala. A mock test is also conducted before the elimination rounds.
How entries are judged
The quiz is designed to test both speed and depth of knowledge. For online elimination rounds, questions are typically multiple-choice with a time limit per question and a speed bonus for quick answers. There is no negative marking. Specific judging criteria for later rounds will be based on accuracy and performance in the quiz format.
Selection process
Teams qualify for subsequent rounds based on their performance in the preceding elimination rounds. For instance, the top 50% from ER1 advance to ER2, and the top 20% from ER2 advance to ER3. The top 20% from ER3 proceed to the Zonal Selection Round. A total of 16 teams (four from each zone) qualify for the semi-finals, and the top 8 teams from the semi-finals advance to the finals.
