Trinity College London's Acting examinations offer a structured, graded pathway for students to develop and demonstrate drama skills at their own pace. The syllabus spans from Initial (entry-level) through Grade 8, with each grade assessing skills in scripted performance, movement, improvisation, and knowledge of dramatic techniques appropriate to the level.

Each examination is conducted individually or in small groups before a trained Trinity examiner. Examiners assess technical skill, artistic interpretation, voice and diction, physical expression, and understanding of the text. Students who meet the grade threshold receive an internationally recognised Trinity certificate that indicates the grade achieved — from Pass through Merit to Distinction.
