Rounds & format
Round 1 is an individual written paper lasting 90 minutes, consisting of all MCQ questions. Round 2 is a 3-hour team challenge where participants analyze experimental setups or scenarios and provide responses on a Google Document. Diagrams and drawings are to be submitted via Google Drawing links.
How entries are judged
Round 1 (Individual): Based on total points from MCQ questions. Round 2 (Team Challenge): Based on critical thinking, problem-solving, proposed solutions, and well-reasoned responses to experimental scenarios. Overall Championship awards are based on the VIJSO Individual Score from Round 1 (must be Gold Award) and the team score from Round 2.
