About This Opportunity

Vigyan Pratibha is a national initiative by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE-TIFR) to nurture student talent in science and mathematics. The program encourages deep understanding and appreciation for these subjects, moving beyond rote learning through specially designed Learning Units (LUs).

Designed for students in Classes 8, 9, and 10, it is implemented through a network of schools including Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs). The program fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills by engaging students in exploratory activities and projects within school-based 'Science Circles'.

Academic requirement

Prerequisites

  • Must be a student of Class 8, 9, or 10.
  • A strong interest in exploring science and mathematics is recommended.
  • Should be enrolled in a participating school (KV, JNV, AECS).

Grades: 8, 9, 10. Location: All India. Requirements: Open to students with a keen interest in Science and Maths. Primarily implemented in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV), Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV), and Atomic Energy Central Schools (AECS).
