About This Opportunity
The WRC Drone Soccer Challenge is an engaging robotics competition organized by the All India Council For Robotics & Automation (AICRA). This event pits teams of drones against each other in a simulated soccer match, where drones equipped with advanced sensors and algorithms navigate a field and score goals using their propellers. The objective is to score more goals than the opposing team within a set time limit.
This competition is open to students from schools, colleges, and universities across India and internationally, allowing participants from various age groups to join. Teams are responsible for building and preparing their drones, ensuring they are ready to fly and have enough charged batteries for each match. The challenge encourages creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking.
Participants will gain practical experience in drone technology, aerodynamics, and physics. The competition fosters problem-solving and engineering skills, providing a unique platform for students to apply advanced concepts in aviation. All participants receive a certificate of participation from AICRA, and winning teams are eligible for cash prizes up to INR 150,000.
The event is part of the larger Technoxian World Cup, a global robotics championship. It offers a unique blend of technology and sport, promoting STEM education and providing a pathway for young innovators to explore future tech-driven solutions.
