Rounds & format
The competition has two main stages: The Qualification Round and the XPERTSTEM Elite Final. The Qualification Round is conducted online and consists of multiple tests. Students who qualify advance to the Elite Final, a prestigious international event held in the USA and UK.
How entries are judged
Scoring is based on points awarded for correct answers in the multiple-choice and theory-based questions. Not all questions carry the same weight. In the Elite Final, scores are combined from Individual, Theory, and Team challenges.

Students are selected for the Elite Final based on their performance in the online qualification rounds. A minimum score of 60 points is required to pass.
