How entries are judged
Entries are judged anonymously by a panel of experts on their technical skill, artistic merit, and originality. The judges look for images that are not only technically excellent but also capture the beauty and wonder of the cosmos in a unique way.

The judges will select one winner, one runner-up, and three highly commended images from all the entries in the Young competition. There are no separate categories for this age group.
