About This Opportunity
The Youth Climate Conclave (YCC) Photography Competition is an annual event organized by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) under the India-EU Clean Energy and Climate Partnership (CECP) project. It aims to engage and empower young people across India to become leaders in combating climate change by capturing positive climate actions through photography. This competition serves as a vital platform for education and collaboration, uniting youth to address pressing environmental challenges and inspire change.
This competition is open to children and youth across India, specifically in two age categories: 10 to 18 years and 19 to 25 years. Participants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, regardless of caste, race, gender, or physical ability. Each participant is limited to submitting one original photograph that expresses their interpretation of the theme, accompanied by a captivating tagline of no more than 15 words.
Winners receive e-certificates, medals, and mementos, along with the unique opportunity to attend the Youth Climate Conclave and be felicitated at the prestigious World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS). The top 12 photographs will be prominently featured in the YCC annual calendar and exhibited, providing significant national exposure. This competition offers a unique chance to gain national recognition, develop essential photography and environmental awareness skills, and connect with influential leaders in sustainability.

Additional requirements
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Participants are limited to submitting only one entry.
- Each photograph must be accompanied by a captivating tagline of no more than 15 words.
- Entries lacking title, description, and details will be disqualified.
- Photographs will be screened for plagiarism and directly eliminated if found copied.
- Photographs should capture the essence of positive climate actions in the country at individual, local, regional or national level.
- Participants are required to submit an original photograph that expresses their interpretation of the theme.
- The photograph should convey optimistic and meaningful messages and should not depict doomsday scenarios.
- Only high-resolution (2 MB or more) original photographs will be accepted.
- The photograph should be necessarily in JPG format with at least 200 dpi at 2,000 pixels.
- Photographs containing obscene, provocative, or objectionable content will not be considered for submission.
- Minor adjustments like removal of sensor dust, scratches, dodging, burning, sharpening, contrast, toning, slight color adjustment and conversion to grayscale are acceptable.
- The addition and subtraction of objects is not permitted.
- Photographs must be submitted without any copyrights or watermarks.
Open to Indian citizens aged 10 to 25 years, in two age categories: 10 to 18 years and 19 to 25 years. Participants must submit one original, high-resolution JPG photograph with a tagline (max 15 words) that depicts positive climate actions. Entries must be free from plagiarism, watermarks, and objectionable content. Minor photo adjustments are allowed, but no object additions or subtractions. This is a nationwide competition.
