American International School Chennai

The American International School Chennai (AISC) is an independent, non-profit international school established in 1995, located in the Taramani neighbourhood of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The school serves students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12 from both the international community and local Indian families seeking an internationally accredited education. AISC is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) and the Council of International Schools (CIS), and is an authorised International Baccalaureate World School offering the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and IB Diploma Programme. The school's curriculum follows an internationally recognised framework while incorporating an appreciation for Indian culture and the local community. The school is recognised in the Chennai and South Indian MUN community for hosting CHEMUN — the Chennai Model United Nations conference — which it has organised annually since 2006. CHEMUN has grown to attract more than 450 delegates per edition from India and international schools.
