About
Contemporary Foundation For Art and Craft (CFAC) is a registered national-level organisation and India's national cultural examination body, structured to design, organise, and conduct examinations across the complete range of visual and performing arts disciplines. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in New Delhi, CFAC serves students, institutions, mentors, and practising artists through standardised curricula, national assessments, and recognised certification pathways. CFAC's mission is to establish a reliable, well-structured, and nationally credible platform for learning, assessment, certification, and promotion of contemporary Indian art forms. Its vision is to integrate formal art education into the mainstream educational system across India, offering every learner and practitioner a clear, respected, and professionally viable pathway supported by standardised national qualifications. The organisation is registered under the Societies Registration Act (Reg. No. S/RS/DW(SW)/1618/2019), listed on the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment's e-ANUDAAN portal, NITI Aayog-registered, and CSR-registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Academic programmes are validated by Global Open University (UGC-recognised) and the School of Art and Design at K.R. Mangalam University. CFAC's discipline portfolio spans Visual Arts and Crafts, Dance, Music, Drama and Theatre, Recitation (Abriti), and Design and Applied Arts, with pan-India events conducted across Nagaland, West Bengal, Tripura, Gujarat, and other states.
