About
GoSports Foundation is an independent, donor-funded non-profit organisation established in 2008 to nurture the dreams of talented Indian athletes through structured support, mentorship and access to world-class training resources. The foundation works primarily with junior and emerging Olympic and Paralympic athletes, providing them an enabling environment to compete at the highest international level. The organisation runs flagship programmes such as the Rahul Dravid Athlete Mentorship Programme, the Para Champions Programme supported by IndusInd Bank, and the Athlete Education Initiative. It also delivers more than a dozen athlete development programmes funded under corporate social responsibility partnerships, alongside knowledge collaborations with the Board of Control for Cricket in India. GoSports Foundation supported athletes have collectively contributed eight Olympic and Paralympic medals at the Tokyo 2020 Games and thirty medals at the 2023 Asian Games. The foundation received the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar in 2019 in recognition of its contribution to the identification and development of emerging sporting talent. Founded by Nandan Kamath, Joseph Ollapally and Hakimuddin Habibulla, the foundation is headquartered in Bengaluru and counts Rahul Dravid and Pullela Gopichand among its ambassadors. Its sport sciences function is led by John Gloster, the former Indian cricket team physiotherapist.
