About
The Karnataka Quiz Association (KQA) is dedicated to promoting and organizing quizzing activities in Bangalore and other parts of Karnataka. Founded in 1983 by a group of quiz enthusiasts, KQA aims to provide a structured platform for quizzing at various levels. The organization conducts over 100 programs annually, catering to diverse age groups and interests. KQA organizes quizzes at seven different levels, including Open, Inter-Collegiate, Inter-Junior College, Inter-High School, and Inter-Middle School. In addition to general quizzes, they host quizzes on specialized subjects such as Science, Movies, Music, and Literature. Most events are team-based, but individual competitions are also held to identify talent. KQA has established a ranking system to award points for each quiz, compiling these points throughout the season to publish ranking lists. They also conduct quizzes for schools, colleges, clubs, and corporate houses upon request. The association promotes the game by awarding book coupons as recognition of merit. KQA conducts memorial quizzes annually to honor the late Ganesh Nayak and Vidhyasagar Rajan. The organization is a registered society operating on a non-profit basis, focused on fostering a love for quizzing
