Plaksha University

Plaksha University is a private technology-focused university established under the Punjab Private Universities Policy 2010. The institution was founded through a collective philanthropy effort involving over 100 technology entrepreneurs, business leaders, and academicians. The university offers interdisciplinary undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs that integrate technology with social sciences and design thinking. Academic offerings span computer science, artificial intelligence, robotics, biological systems engineering, and data science. Plaksha emphasises research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with dedicated centres for clean energy, water security, robotics, and sustainability. The campus opened its doors in August 2021 and operates on a 50-acre site in the Chandigarh tricity region. The university partners with global institutions including the University of Pennsylvania Engineering school for its MS in Artificial Intelligence programme, and runs flagship high-school outreach programmes such as the Young Technology Scholars summer experience.
