About

Sri Shanmukhananda Fine Arts and Sangeetha Sabha is a Mumbai-based cultural institution established in 1952 to promote Indian fine arts. The Sabha runs a full-fledged auditorium, a music school, and a medical centre serving the wider community. The institution provides a platform for emerging artists across Carnatic and Hindustani classical traditions. Its Bharatiya Sangeetha Vidyalaya offers structured training and a Diploma in Carnatic Music recognised by Mumbai University. The Sabha conducts annual music and dance competitions, the M.S. Subbulakshmi awards for young musicians, and regular concerts featuring leading artists. Disciplines covered include Carnatic Vocal, Veena, Violin, Mrudangam, Hindustani Vocal, Sitar, Tabla, Harmonium and Bharatanatyam.
