Tata Power Company Limited is India's largest integrated power utility and a part of the Tata Group, with an installed generation capacity exceeding 14,000 MW across thermal, hydro, solar, and wind sources. The company operates across the entire power value chain, including generation, transmission, distribution, trading, and renewables, serving customers in multiple states. Beyond its core energy business, Tata Power runs flagship community and education initiatives focused on sustainability, climate action, and STEM learning for school students. Its Club Enerji programme, launched in 2007, has grown into a pan-India movement that mobilises students as Energy Champions and Ambassadors to drive household and community-level energy conservation. Through Club Enerji and the related EcoCrew campaign, the company partners with schools across 18 states to deliver structured curricula, annual national competitions such as Energy Q, Spark of Life, Every Watt Counts, and Urja Mela, and hands-on conservation projects. These initiatives operate under a four-stage model of Educate, Enhance, Engage, and Empower. The programmes have reached over 1,200 schools, more than 2.5 lakh Energy Champions, and sensitised over 3 crore citizens, with plans to expand to 5,000 schools by FY28 as part of the company's long-term sustainability and community engagement strategy.
