The Yoga Institute in Santacruz East, Mumbai is recognized as the world's oldest organized yoga center. The institute was honored with the Prime Minister's Award in 2018 by the Ministry of AYUSH in recognition of its contributions to yoga and wellness. Under the leadership of Dr. Hansa Yogendra, the institute continues to offer structured programs in yoga for adults, children, and families at its Mumbai premises, including the flagship Santacruz East campus and a Matunga branch. Children's programs at The Yoga Institute focus on yoga asanas, relaxation techniques, arts and crafts, and interactive group activities, designed to support physical development, mental focus, and creativity in young learners. The institute's summer camps are offered to children aged 5 to 12 and are conducted at the Mumbai campus.
