About This Opportunity
Likhawat is the National Essay Writing Competition organised by the Literary and Debating Society (LDS) of National Law University, Tripura. The competition invites original essays on a designated theme rooted in constitutional and socio-legal discourse.
The competition is open to school students of Classes 11 and 12 from any recognised board, as well as Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate students from any recognised college or university across India. Submissions are individual entries.
Total cash prizes of Rs. 37,000 are distributed across the school and college categories, alongside Certificates of Merit for top entries and Certificates of Participation for all registered participants. The top essay receives a publication opportunity in the NLU Tripura Journal of Law and Policy.
Entries must be unpublished and original. Submissions exceeding 15 percent plagiarism similarity or 15 percent AI-generated content are disqualified, and a Turnitin or Drillbit plagiarism report along with an AI-content report must be uploaded with the essay.
